2009 Dayton Literary Peace Prize for Lifetime Achievement

This year’s Dayton Literary Peace Prize for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl Wudunn, “in recognition of their work chronicling human rights in Asia, Africa, and the developing world.”

2009 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award

2009 Orange Prize for Fiction

Marilynne Robinson has won the 2009 Orange Prize for Fiction.

The Man Booker International Prize 2009

Alice Munro is the winner of the Man Booker International Prize 2009. “Worth £60,000 to the winner, the prize is awarded every two years to a living author who has published fiction either originally in English or whose work is generally available in translation in the English language.”
