The apartment where Nobel Prize winning author Ivo Andrić (1892-1975) lived and worked houses a museum honoring the author. In addition to the authentic interior of his home, including a salon and a studio; "the Legacy of Ivo Andrić [comprises] 6390 pieces," including "a remarkable writer’s personal library, manuscripts, correspondence, photos, fine art paintings, personal belongings, diplomas and medals.” The Memorial Museum of Ivo Andrić is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday, Noon-8 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Also on Andricev Venac, near Pionirski Park, literary travelers will find a bronze monument of the author erected in 1992 in celebration of his 100th “birth anniversary.”
